Undergraduate Sponsorship

Control Techniques sponsors Undergraduates at University once they have completed their first year of full time study. Three or Four year courses will be considered in any area that is of interest to the business activities of Control Techniques. Whilst the Company is primarily interested in sponsoring Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering Undergraduates, active consideration will also be given to students studying the following courses or similar:

  • Manufacturing
  • Marketing
  • Software Engineering
  • Purchasing & Supply
  • Process Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Accountancy
  • Human Resources
  • Logistics

Regulations and Benefits:

The sponsorship deal involves paying the Undergraduate a £3,000 per annum bursary plus £200 per annum book allowance. In return the Undergraduate is required to accept any suitable post graduation employment offer made by Control Techniques or return all bursary funds paid to them.

The Undergraduate will also be expected to work over their summer holidays to gain experience. The Company covers reasonable accommodation expenses, where appropriate. The Sponsored Undergraduate will also be paid for any summer work.

The Sponsored Undergraduate is expected to achieve a minimum 2:2 class honours degree at the first attempt.
